Visual Artists Guild will hold 36th Tiananmen Commemoration and Award Event

Ann Lau, Chair of the Visual Artists Guild                                         05-05-2025

Dear Friend,

We are thrilled to be back in person.

After a few years of virtual events, we are excited to connect person-to-person.

Below is the information for our 36th Tiananmen Commemoration and Annual Award this year.

We want to take this opportunity to honor Freeman Ho who after coming to the U.S. in 1980, has devote much of his life to the human rights work for his fellowmen.

We are so excited that our 2013 honoree, poet Zhu Yufu have been released and came to the U.S. last year.  We can finally present to him his Champion for Freedom of Speech Award.

We are also grateful that Yang Zili, probably the first Chinese to have his own website to discuss his ideas and is now in the U.S. after serving eight year in jail for exercising his freedom of speech.

We truly delighted that we have found the right person to represent all White Paper protesters in their courage to speak up in late 2022 against the draconian policy of Zero Covid.

To Join our event, please see below:

Sincerely,

Ann Lau

Chair, Visual Artists Guild
