The convoy, featuring the Xi Jinping Virus Head sculpture, organized by the Liberty Sculpture Park in California, paraded through the heart of Flushing, a major Chinese enclave in New York City, on September 28, 2025.

A major rally was held in front of the Flushing Public Library, bringing together several religious, human rights, and pro-democracy organizations, including the New York Christian Justice League, Women’s Rights in China (WRIC)    , and the Chines Democratic Party. The participants called for global accountability from the CCP for manufacturing and spreading the virus that led to a worldwide pandemic, demanding justice and compensation for the victims.

Pastor Shao Jun, head of the New York Christian Justice League and one of the rally’s planners, had previously hosted and prayed with dozens of convoy members at his Rock Church on the afternoon of September 27.

Speakers at the September 28 rally included Chen Weiming and Jin Xiuhong (representing the convoy), as well as commentators Chen Pokong and Zhang Lin, and Zhang Jing, founder of Chinese Women’s Rights. Veteran democracy activists such as Wei Quanbao and Cai Guihua were also in attendance to show their support.

During the event, organizer Chen Weiming announced that he would be testifying as a witness in federal court on September 30 for the case concerning the CCP-linked espionage and sabotage that resulted in the destruction of the original “Xi Jinping Virus” sculpture at the California park. At that time, all personnel carrying the trailer of Xi Jinping’s virus sculpture will appear outside the Brooklyn Federal Court to support Chen Weimin and condemn the CCP spies’ crimes of vandalism against the sculpture park.

Following the assembly, the convoy members and volunteers were treated to lunch, which was prepared by Zhang Jing, Chen Pokong, Zhang Lin, and Ning Xianhua. Mr. Ning Xianhua, Chairman of the National Joint Headquarters of the China Democratic Party, personally cooked braised pork and mixed stir-fry to add to the lunch boxes, which were reportedly delicious.

The 14-vehicle convoy then continued its journey to Washington D.C., where members are scheduled to participate in another rally to continue advocating for freedom and justice.
