A Prayer Letter for the Sis and Bros of Beijing Zion Church Who Were Taken Away by Copa
— An appeal from a sister from the land of freedom
Zhou Mei, A Sister in Christ in US 10-12-2025
Dear Family in the Lord,
May the grace and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with us all!
Today, with a heavy heart, I invite everyone to join in interceding for the pastors and brothers and sisters of Beijing Zion Church. Recently, I learned that those pastors and members who once worshiped and served the Lord together have been taken away by the CCP police and lost their personal freedom because of their adherence to their faith. This news deeply pains my heart.
I joined Zion Church gatherings in 2017 and personally experienced the great persecution of 2018. In my moments of extreme weakness, when I was on the verge of falling, it was the pastors and brothers and sisters of Zion Church who supported me with faith and love, allowing me to stand firm in the persecution and experience the great power of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. Now, by God’s mercy, I worship Him in a land of freedom, but I cannot forget the brothers and sisters who are still watching for the Lord in suffering.
They have done nothing wrong, yet they are now bound and isolated merely because they faithfully preach the Gospel, worship the true God, and shepherd the flock. But we know that their lives are in God’s hands, and their testimony is loud in heaven. Their bondage is suffering for righteousness’ sake; their silence is speaking by faith. They are not alone; we are their family.
Therefore, I sincerely call upon brothers and sisters in the Lord to rise up together in prayer to uphold them:
Pray for the strengthening of their faith, that they may stand firm in the Lord and not be shaken in times of trouble;
Pray for their physical health and safety, asking the Lord to protect them in everything they face in the detention center;
Pray for those who are watching over them, asking for God’s mercy, so that they may repent and turn to the true light;
Pray for their families, that the Lord Himself will comfort and provide, granting peace that surpasses all understanding;
Pray for the Church in China, that God may use this persecution to refine His people and raise up more faithful servants.
As it is said in Hebrews 13:3, “Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated, since you yourselves also are in the body.”
Dear family, may we, in our freedom, not forget the suffering members, and in our peace, not cease praying for them. Let us be their companions in the Lord, be their voice, and be the watchmen kneeling before God.
We suffer with them in prayer and will also wait together for the glorious appearing of the Lord.
Victorious in the Lord. May the Lord remember our prayers!
Please, family in the Lord, intercede and share this!
Let us not only remember our suffering members in our hearts but also act to speak up for them.
Your one share may become a spark of prayer; your one post may ignite the watch of more people.
Please share, follow, and pray, so that more brothers and sisters may join us in kneeling before the Lord to watch over Beijing Zion Church and the Church in China.
Though scattered in different places, we are one family in the Lord.
